Ms. Zaylia is a certified specialist in workers’ compensation in the State of California. She earned her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2010. While in law school, she worked for two federal judges, interned with the Department of Justice, argued before the California Court of Appeal three times (and won!), and was the Chief Articles Editor for the San Diego Journal of Climate & Energy Law. She also earned the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award, Warren Family Endowment Scholarship, USD Law Alumni Scholarship, and USD Honor Scholarship.

 

Prior to joining Lower & Kesner, Ms. Zaylia was a partner at Hanna & Brophy. She has also handled juvenile dependency and delinquency cases.

 

Over the years, Ms. Zaylia has presented on the topic of workers’ compensation to thousands of people and prides herself on strategy. In her personal life, she spends time with her family—including multiple rescue animals, enjoys traveling the world and learning new languages, and she paints portraits as well as abstracts.
